Winnett8 Meeting

I had a very successful meeting with Hazel Smith of WINNET8 an Edinburgh based, European Union (EU) funded programme, promoting gender equality across Europe. WINNET8 facilitates the exchange of experience, of policy and good practice between Sweden, Portugal, Poland, Greece, Finland, Italy, Bulgaria and the UK. Much progress has been made but there remain the goals of encouraging entrepreneurship; reducing segregated markets; supporting women into area of innovation and technology.  WINNET8 are due to hold a Round Table Policy Event at Edinburgh City Chambers on Tuesday 16 August.
